I've even had some MegaCorps push terms of NET120 or NET180 at me. In fact, a few years ago, I was negotiating the terms of a high 6-figure, 6-month project and those were the terms the MegaCorp tried to push.

I was dumbstruck. They wanted my firm to float them for 3-4 months (over half the project timeline) before we'd ever see a dime. And that would be best-case given all the ways payments can be held up.

It didn't work out that way in the end, but I'm sure it does for many others. The allure of big paydays and big logos can be intoxicating.
